Josh Williams has again been nominated for the national award “Guitar Performer of the Year” for the 35th annual SPBGMA National bluegrass Awards. To be held at the Music City Sheraton Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday February 7th, 2010. On October 1st at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, as part of the IBMA's twentieth annual Awards Show, Josh Williams was presented the 2009 Guitar Player of the Year award by Miss Claire Lynch, and one of Josh's guitar heroes, Tim Stafford of "Blue Highway." This was quite an emotional moment for Josh!

As Josh Williams and the Josh Williams Band were leaving Boston after giving  a "Standing Ovation Earning Performance", at the historic "Joe Val Bluegrass Festival" his  lovely  wife,  Jenny Williams  was attending  the Annual national Awards Show in Nashville accepting Josh's fifth consecutive "Guitar Performer of the Year Award" from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America.  Congratulations Josh from all the staff and supporters of Awsipro Music and your websites . http://www.joshwilliamsband.com ; and http://www.joshwilliamsmusic.com

Exactly three weeks after winning the International Bluegrass Music Association’s highest award for instrumentalists, Benton native Josh Williams was called home to accept the “Outstanding Artist of the Year Award” from the Marshall County Arts Commission.

The “MCAC also presented the “Citizen Of The Year Award" to Mr. Gene Gillilan, and their “Educator Of The Year" Award to Ms. Vicky Dowdy.

An old friend (Vince Gill) stops by the Fan Fest Green Room to congratulate Josh on the I.B.M.A award.
